What:
-Multi-divisional play of that favourite elementary schoolyard game played when summer was near. Maybe you called it 'California Kickball' (kind of like baseball with a rubber ball using your leg to bat), this fun social game won't have any daisy pickers.
-Enjoy 9 evenings of kickball (7 regular season games + 2 playoff weeks)
No Experience Needed:
Did you know that a large percentage of players have not played kickball since their childhood? This makes it the perfect sport to join later on in life since many will have little experience playing it as an adult.
When:
-Mondays June 17th - August 26th (BYE's on July 1st and 22nd)
-Game times start at 6:05pm, 7:25pm, and 8:45pm
Where:
-Merle Logan Turf Fields
Overview:
-Play a different team for 75 minutes or 9 innings each week
-9 players on the field at a time
-Must have a minimum of 2 males and 2 females on for each game
-Recommended rosters of 11-15 players
-This is recreational and social, but not a 'beer league' and therefore liquor is not allowed anywhere on the grounds. Please join us after for a drink with your team (and new friends) at OJ's -- our sponsor watering hole.
Cost:
Teams:
-$700 Standard Team Rate - register after May 5th
($100 due at time of registration and balance due June 3rd)
Small groups or singles:
-$80 per player for all singles OR small groups. Please note who you want to be grouped with during registration if signing up with a friend.
Equipment:
-Running shoes will work just fine as the turf fields are quite grippy compared to grass. However soccer cleats, turf shoes, indoor soccer shoes are allowed too.
-Your team captain will also receive team shirt order forms. These are optional, but a great way to get you all looking like a team with easy customizable font and shirt colours. Shirts are $17 for cotton and $20 for athletic poly. Orders are made as team sets and we cannot print orders for just one shirt.
